Housing Bootcamp

A series of short, 7-9 day comprehensive exercises with each one providing an opportunity to examine different housing/site typology. These include single-family detached with accessory dwelling units (ADU), row houses and courtyard housing.

Single-Family Detached w/ADU

1200 sq. ft. single-family-detached house with 400 sq. ft. accessory dwelling unit (ADU); follows zero-lot-line restrictions.

Row House

1,200 - 1,600 sq. ft. interior-lot row houses with a focus on the relationship of the unit to the outdoor space, both public and private.

Courtyard Housing

6 units oriented around a shared courtyard including one parking spot per unit. 1,000-1,200 sq. ft. mix of two- and three-bedroom units.

Mixed Housing Type

Four blocks demonstrating appropriate low-rise housing at a medium density that can accommodate a variety of user groups, income levels, household sizes and demographics.
